After fulfilling my military obligations, I ventured into a seasonal job in search of new opportunities. Initially, I attempted to work at a hotel in Santorini, but circumstances arose that conflicted with my personal values. However, fortune smiled upon me when I stumbled upon a job announcement for a desk position at a travel agency.

This role involved managing reservations for 20-25 rooms, and it proved to be a turning point in my career. At the end of the season, I recognized the need to modernize the management process, which had relied on Excel files and paper-based systems. Seizing the opportunity, I proposed implementing a digital solution, and the owner of the agency granted me full authority to carry out the transformation, as he lacked the time to do so himself.

Taking the initiative, I discovered a do-it-yourself Property Management System (PMS) called Smoobu Channel Manager, and I meticulously organized every aspect of the reservation management process. This breakthrough paved the way for my future endeavors.

Recognizing the value I brought to the agency, I was offered the opportunity to stay on board throughout the year. Since then, I have continued in this role, leveraging digital tools and my skills to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and provide a superior experience for both the agency and its customers.

This experience has not only propelled my career but also instilled in me a passion for utilizing technology to drive positive change within the tourism industry.

During the initial years of my professional journey, I primarily worked as a part-time waiter at local cafeterias to supplement my income while attending university. This experience provided me with valuable insights into the operations of the cafeteria industry. Working actively from 2017 onwards, I gained firsthand knowledge of how the industry functions and developed essential skills in customer interaction and service.

Through my role as a waiter, I encountered various situations and had the opportunity to hone my abilities in managing diverse customer needs and handling different scenarios. These experiences greatly contributed to my growth and equipped me with valuable interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

By immersing myself in the fast-paced environment of cafeterias, I acquired a deep understanding of the industry and further developed my ability to provide exceptional service to customers. This exposure has been instrumental in shaping my professional approach and enhancing my overall skill set.

 My initial position was with the esteemed corporation, Brown Hotels Greece.In this role, I served as an Online & Distribution Specialist, tasked with assessing, rectifying, and enhancing the distribution of Brown Hotels in Greece. This encompassed the mapping of the hotels' presence on various Online Travel Agencies (OTAs). My primary duty was to ensure that the results closely aligned with the management's objectives for the OTAs interface.
